Chicago Bulls at Indiana Pacers Betting Preview/Player Prop

NBA Previews

The Indiana Pacers host the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night in a crucial game in the Eastern Conference. Both teams are hoping to sneak into the playoff field in the East, but it will require some work to get into the eighth spot.

Chicago snapped a six-game losing streak with an impressive win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. The Bulls are still just 20-28 on the season, but they are within striking distance of snagging a playoff spot.

Indiana has gone just 3-3 in their last six games, and this team continues to look for more consistency. The Pacers are 22-26 on the season, but this team was expected to be much better than that this season.

The Pacers are slight one-point favorites over the Bulls in this Central Division showdown.

Bulls Defense Must Improve

If the Bulls are going to figure out a way to sneak into the playoffs, they must become a better defensive team. Chicago is allowing nearly 114 points per game, and that defense really let the team down on their most recent road trip.

The Bulls can score, and they have a pair of All-Stars leading the way. Zach LaVine leads the team with more than 27 points per game, and he can take over on most nights.

Chicago landed center Nikola Vucevic at the Trade Deadline, and he has allowed this team to be a more potent offense. The Bulls do struggle to shoot the ball from deep, but they do a lot of good things on offense.

Pacers Looking For Consistent Attack

The Indiana Pacers are averaging 112.9 points per game while allowing 113.2 points per game. Indiana just has not been able to play well on both sides of the court most nights, and that has made it hard to go on a long winning streak.

Malcolm Brogdon leads this team with 21 points per game, and he has been great for the Pacers this season. All-Star Domantas Sabonis is averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds per game, and he is also an essential piece of this team.

The Pacers have some talented players on this roster, but they just haven’t been able to play as well as expected.

Pacers Win Close Game

Chicago wants to score points in bunches, while Indiana hopes their defense can dictate the pace of this game. Whichever team can control the tempo in this game will likely be the one that wins this important matchup.

The addition of Vucevic has turned the Bulls into a much more well-rounded offense, but they still struggle to get stops on defense. Indiana has had an up and down season, but they have the pieces in place to go on a nice little run.

Expect a tight game throughout, but playing at home will give the Indiana Pacers an edge late in the game. Take the Indiana Pacers -1.0 over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.

BETTING PICK: Indiana Pacers (-1).

Player Prop

Tomas Satoransky Over 15.5 Points + Assists

The Bulls are still trying to find the right mix following the acquisition of All-Star Nikola Vucevic from Orlando.

There were certainly bumps out of the gate with 4 straight losses. But one player who seems to have benefitted from the new rotations is Satoransky.

Over his last 7 games, Satoransky has averaged 17.8 points + assists. That includes a season-high 30 (19 points, 11 assists) in his most recent game against Brooklyn on Sunday.

His minutes look to be up as well as he’s played less than 30 just once in the last 4 games.

In his last game against the Pacers back on February 15, Satoransky finished with 17 points + assists (13 points, 4 assists) in just 21 minutes of work.

With Billy Donovan turning to Satoransky more in the new-look Bulls lineup, we’ll take the shooting guard to go Over (-115) his points + assists total of 15.5 tonight against Indiana.
