Boston Celtics at Chicago Bulls Betting Preview
The Chicago Bulls host the Boston Celtics on Monday night for a matchup between Eastern Conference foes. Chicago is looking to snap a playoff drought this season while the Celtics are Eastern Conference title contenders.
The Celtics enter this game with a 9-6 record, and they are currently in second place in the Atlantic Division. Boston was able to snap a three-game losing streak with a convincing win over the Cleveland Cavaliers over the weekend.
Chicago comes into Monday night with a record of just 7-9, but that record is a bit deceiving. The Bulls have now won three of their last four games, and their improvement has been noticeable by many around the league.
The Boston Celtics are 7.5-point favorites over the Chicago Bulls in this Eastern Conference clash.
Celtics Looking For Consistency
The Celtics have all the pieces needed to make a deep run in the Eastern Conference, but this team has struggled at times this season. Boston just went through a difficult three-game losing streak but then responded by scoring 141 points against a great defensive team in the Cavaliers.
Boston is currently playing without Jayson Tatum, but Jaylen Brown has really stepped up in his absence. Brown is leading the team with over 27 points per game and is blossoming into a star in the NBA.
The Celtics have also struggled on the defensive end of the floor, allowing more than 110 points per game. Boston is facing an explosive Bulls team on Monday night, and it will have to get some stops to win this game.
Bulls Scoring Points
The Bulls are currently scoring more than 116 points per game, making them a top-five offense this season. New head coach Billy Donavan has preached sharing the basketball, and this Bulls team has started to figure some things out.
Zach LaVine leads the team with nearly 27 points per game, and he is one of the best true scorers in the league. Lauri Markkanen and Coby White are also elite shooters, and that gives the Bulls plenty of room to operate inside.
Chicago will give up some points, and this team will continue to look for ways to improve on the defensive end of the floor. Giving up more than 118 points per game is not a winning formula, and the Bulls will struggle to defend the Celtics.
Celtics Cruise to Victory
The Bulls have been trending in the right direction this season, but the Celtics are one of the best teams in the league. This should be a high-scoring affair, but Boston is eventually going to be able to get some stops to create separation.
Boston is starting to get healthy again, and it made a statement in the win over the Cavaliers. Look for the Celtics' great play to continue on Monday night as they defeat the Bulls by a comfortable margin.
Bet the Boston Celtics -7.5 over the Chicago Bulls in this Eastern Conference clash.
