Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans Betting Preview

The Tennessee Titans will host the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC Wild Card Round playoff game on Sunday. This is a rematch of a playoff game from a season ago, and Tennessee earned an upset win in that one.

Baltimore has now won five straight games, and the Ravens are starting to look like the team from a season ago. The Ravens were not able to repeat as AFC North champions, but this team could still go on a long playoff run.

Tennessee won three of its last four games to win the AFC South title. The Titans advanced to the AFC Championship Game a season ago and are looking for another big run.

The Baltimore Ravens are 3.5-point road favorites over the Tennessee Titans in this game. 

Defense Dominant For Ravens

The Ravens are allowing just 18.9 points per game, and that defense deserves a ton of credit for the late-season run. Baltimore has been great at stopping the run, and that will play a huge role in this matchup.

Baltimore is also the best rushing team in the NFL, running for over 191 yards per game. Quarterback Lamar Jackson leads the team with 1,005 yards, but the Ravens have several options when looking to run.

The Ravens will need to find a way to pick up more yards in the passing game, as they are averaging just 171.2 yards per game. Baltimore can score points in a hurry when it is able to find balance with its running and passing games.

Tennessee Must Ride Running Back

Titans running back Derrick Henry has rushed for over 2,000 yards this season, and the Titans won’t be afraid to ride their star. Henry carried the team on a long postseason run a season ago, and he will be a huge factor this season as well.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has thrown for over 3,800 yards, and wide receiver A.J. Brown leads the team with 1,075 receiving yards. Tennessee will have to find a way to loosen up the Ravens run defense to give Henry a chance.

The defense in Tennessee has been a concern all season as it is allowing over 27 points per game. Getting stops early will be a huge key for the Titans if they are going to pull off this upset. 

Ravens Run Over Titans

The Titans have the best running back in football on their side, but Baltimore is the best rushing team. There won’t be a ton of throwing the football in this game, but that’s how Baltimore wants it.

Tennessee was able to eliminate the Ravens a season ago, and Baltimore will be out for revenge this time around. The Ravens have been on a roll of late, and it’s hard to ignore the momentum that they have coming into this one.

Baltimore will use its rushing attack to take control of this game and cruise to a victory. The Ravens will open this game up in the second half, and the Titans will be heading home.
