Final 2016: Finding That Elusive Spark

The Los Angeles Sparks claimed their first WNBA title in 14 years thanks to Nneka Ogwumike’s short jumper with 3.1 seconds left that lifted the Sparks to a 77-76 win over Minnesota in the deciding Game 5. Candice Parker took MVP honors with a 28-point, 12-rebound performance in the clincher. Despite the Lynx inability to defend their title, the still finished No. 1 overall in the Index.  Here are the final WNBA rankings for the 2016 season.
