NCAA Football Division 1-AA Rankings
Final 2009: Final Talley Has Nova On Top
Villanova coach Andy Talley was hired in 1985 to rebuild a program after a
four-year absence. That job is complete as the Wildcats took the Division
I-AA championship over Montana (23-21). Matt Szczur was the offensive hero
with 159 yards rushing and 2 TDs as the Wildcats overcame a 14-3 deficit in
the first half to deny the Grizzlies their third national championship. Here are the
final 2009 season
rankings.
