Final 2007-08: KU Outlasts Memphis For Title

Down nine points with 2:12 remaining, Kansas staged a dramatic comeback capped by Mario Chalmers' three-pointer with 2.1 seconds left that forced overtime with Memphis.  The Jayhawks then went on to outscore the Tigers 12-5 in the extra period to secure a 75-68 win and their first championship since 1988.  Chalmers heroics overshadowed strong performance from Derrick Rose down the stretch as he scored 14 of Memphis' 16 points late in the second half to give the Tigers a 60-51 lead.  But when he and Chris Douglas-Roberts made only one of five free throws in the last 1:12, it left the door open for Kansas.   Here are the final ratings* for the 2007-08 season.
